3 Minute Fiction

The nurse left work at 5 o'clock. She was exhausted from work so she decided to go straight home instead of going to the charity event she was suppose to attend. When she arrived at her house she took a long shower & then went to lie down. It was 9 o'clock & she was bored so she decided to call her best friend to see what she was up to.
"Hey girl, what you doing?" the nurse said. Then her friend told her to meet her at a party so she got to the party , met up with her friend and started drinking a lot of alcohol. A man then came up to her & said " hey baby let me buy you a drink." She accepted his offer.
A few minutes later a girl walks up to her and says "why was you talking to my man?!!!!". The nurse then says "ain't nobody want your man now get out my face b***h!!!". The girl then spits at her & the nurse slapped her & the began fighting. Everyone was yelling "CAT FIGHT!!!!!" when they witnessed the girls fighting.
No one wanted to break up the fight cause its dangerous to get between two girls fighting but eventually the nurse friend came & broke it up. The nurse had one scratch & the other girl had scratches, bruises, and was bleeding. Clearly the nurse won. After the party was over the nurse went home & went to sleep.
The next morning she woke up with a hangover & called to work saying she couldn't make it to work that day.

the nurses story by k.p

The nurse left work at five o'clock. She was in a hurry to go to a concert, the best concert on earth. The concert starts at 6:00 pm so the nurse really is trying to get home and change. As she gets into her beautiful Range Rover she realized that her husband was out of town so she had to go pick up her baby from the day care center."O.M.G I am gonna be so late" she says as she heads for the Hampton's day care center. After 40 of minutes of driving to get from the hospital to the day care center, she finally has her 3 year old, Princess, in the car, and is ready to get home and go to the concert. Now it is 5:40 so she has exactly twenty minutes before the concert actually starts. When she gets home she takes a quick shower and gets dressed and she notices that it 6:30. The nurse, goes in the room and wakes up her oldest daughter to tell her shes leaving. Her daughter seems to disagree. "Mom i wanna go to, V.K.A.O.G is my favorite group and you know that" she says with a tear coming down her eyes. Just then there is a knock on the door. "Oh goodness i wonder what else i forgot" she says. When she opens the door she nearily loses her mind. It was V.K.A.O.G outside with a limo. The nurse forgot that she won a contest that not only got her 3 tickets but got a her a limo with V.K.A.O.G and back stage passes to the show. She was so overjoyed that she started crying. Kristen from V.K.A.O.G smiled and said " It looks like you've had a long day girl, but please don't cry, we have worked too hard on our make up. The nurse looks up to says " Thanks for understand, but my daughters aren't even ready. Kristen and Vanity (the other member) have a 2 second conference and then say " Well why dont we come in and give you a hand!". They all walk in and start getting te kids ready. Finally, they were on their way to the concert. Although they thought they were running late, the people were still coming in when they arrived. As they walked in back stage the nurse became more and more exticited. She had just been in a limo with gospel superstars V.K.A.O.G. She thought to her "I Love My Life times 10,000,000". After that she then sat down and watched the girls perform from back stage without trying to shed a tear. The words in their song were so powerful and she then realized that it was worth it to go through what she went through to get there.

3 Minute Fiction

The nurse left work at five o'clock. Walking hastily down the extended flight of stairs, she caught a glimpse of the twilight sky through the stained window of her patient's lonely, sullen apartment. The step began to creak; an ear numbing falsetto. Nervously, she continued her troubled climb down the stairs. Approaching the exit of the seemingly abandoned apartment, she exhaled, almost in relief, as she escaped and swiftly made off into the blue hued street.

"Good morning Ms. Adriana. So sorry it was another late night." Whispered a stranger, far too close behind her, raising the smallest of hairs on her neck.
"Oh!" the nurse exclaimed, immobilized by the greeting of her stranger. Briskly she met the eyes of her patient's son, Aiden Ambrose.
"Hello Mr. Ambr-"
"Please, Adriana. You've been takin' care of Ma for months now. Call me Aiden", Aiden asked her, in a deep, scratchy voice as he pushed his exhausted brown hair from his eyes.

Adriana stared at his tired grey eyes. Eyes that wanted to sleep after a hard night's work more than anything. "Aiden. Please excuse me, I must be going."
Silently, he dismissed her, with only a faint smile on his thin blue lips.

Turning back on her way, she gave a little smiled herself. Decaying like acid.

Up the dark, dirty, lonesome stairs he stoped at a seaweed-green door whose peeling paint revealed a copper brown.

"MA! MA, I'M HOME!" his voice filled his small apartment. The faint sound of television was all that broke the silence and Aiden sighed that he was home.
"MA!! MA!! I said I'm home! Jesus, she gets deafer and deafer every damn day..." Aiden muttered absently, setting his thin art portfolio down, along with his jacket and other mundane objects.

Sitting on his distrestedly frayed sofa, Aiden reclined back, turning up the volume on the television set before him. A shaven, brunette middle-aged man was reporting the news. ".... now to devasting news, another person was found brutally murdered in their Brooklyn apartment..."

"Damn. Brooklyn is going to hell these days." Aiden groaned, his stressed face sinking into his hands as he leaned closer. "...the 82-year old schizophrenic victim lived in his Bushwick apartment and was killed around 4 in the morning...." His jaw dropped to the ground. "Bushwick! God, I need that damn money to move outta here...MA!!?! What the hell!!?! Why is she so quiet, damn it! " He began to get up, slowly.

" Ma, it's not funny! No more hide and seek!!"

"....the police are saying this is a serial killer..." His haggard attention was back on the small television set. "...according to officials, this is the sixth person murdered in the past month..." He felt the weight of the world on his shoulders "Stupid police. I can't belie- OH GOD!"

Blood. Everywhere. The elderly victim's head rested on his torso, a grotesque picture. A puddle of scarlet covered the floors and walls.

Walking nausiausly towards the bathroom he turned on the faucet, splashing his face repeatedly with water to forget what he saw. Staring at the broken mirror, mother's dimentia, he caught something; a silhouette behind the bathtub curtains. "... the killer left a mesage at the last victim's home..."

"Ma, seriously?! You fell asleep in the bathtub! C'mon, get outta there before you get sick-"

Blood. Everywhere. She drowned in her blood, her eyes carved out of her bloody head and floating in the surface, an icy blue stare. And as if the news reporter could read the blood on the walls, he said:

"Just another burden out of your hands"

3 minute story

The nurse left at 5 o'clock so I wasnt able to give her my medical papers. Its friday so now I have to wait till monday, isnt that great. im at home watching t.v, have homework but I have tomorrow to start it. Most of my friends are out partying, im not apart of that scene. im the type who sits home and watches romantic and sad movies.
Watching a movie called 'Sweet November' my favorite movie, My fone rings , It's a text message.
Its from josh. 'Hey whats up, I was just wondering if your not busy if we can talk.' it read.
'Im not busy at all so we can talk now, whats up?'. I reply.
I wonder what he could possibly want to talk to me about. i knew josh for about five years now and ive had a crush on him and of course he knew. the thing he doesnt know is that i love him desperately. he is perfect in so many ways, he's a great person to go to when you need to talk to someone, he's very athletic, he's funny, he's up to date on fashion, and his swagger is just incredible.
five minutes passed, my fone ringed but now its him calling.
"Hello." I greeted.
"Hey." he responded.
"So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?". I pressed.
"Its very complicated,- but I want to do it in person ok so I can tell you face to face." he said hesitating at times.
"Oh ok." I said.
"Can you meet me today? , in about an hour?". he asked with hope in his voice.
"Yes i said where at?" I asked.
"At the park." he said.
Click, he hung up the fone. Wow what could be so important that he needs to tell me face to face?. Well I guss I'll figure that out in about an hour. It just dawned on me me; I only have an hour to get ready!

not mr drozd's 3 minute fiction

"The nurse left work at five o' clock." Gary lifted his head from the newspaper. His heavy-lidded eyes always gave the impression that he was half asleep. I took it on faith that he struggled with back acne, the way he was always scratching at his neck.

"Oh yeah?"

Gary turned in his chair so he was facing me. He said, "That means she only had about two hours left to live."

Unlucky stories were a common part of our morning ritual.

"Mm hmm." I swept a pile of crumbs, mostly salt, from the counter onto my palm.

"I wonder what she would have said if she knew some crazy person was going to kill her, you know, before she even got home."

I dropped the crumbs in the trash, wiped my hands on my pants and noticed a sticky patch on my right pocket.

"Dunno. Something like, 'Thanks for the hot tip, I guess I won't stress out over this crossword,'" I said.

Gary went back to his paper. His forehead looked like a collapsed accordion.

"You're making fun of me. I know that much."

Nodding, I picked at the fresh stain. The sun was almost up. I glanced at the clock. 5:43.

"About 15 minutes — I still need you to get the coffee going and take this garbage out."

Gary pushed the paper across the table, and came behind the counter, reaching past me to get to the drawer with the filters. I took the folded phone bill from my pocket, flattened it against the counter and added it to the stack of outgoing mail by the register. Behind me Gary started the process of making our standard three pots of regular and single pot of decaf.

"I wonder if she had a dog," he said. Gary was the type that was over-generous with the grounds, always scooping with a measuring cup, never a regular spoon. "And it was used to her getting home at the same time every night. So it could hold its pee until then, but probably not much longer."

This job was a series of small conversations occasionally broken up by customers. It took effort keeping up. My thoughts have their own inertia.

A week earlier I came home after a shift to find a note from my wife on the oven. She was staying with her friend Lynne for a while to try and figure out the best way to fix our relationship. The fact that she chose the word "relationship" instead of "marriage" led me to believe she had already reached a decision about how to fix it. Waiting by the window for her car to pull up would not be a good use of my time.

The letter was written on the back of the phone bill, below the perforated section you send back with the check. She didn't bother signing it.

Guarding personal business is a tendency that runs in my family, so the image of a room full of clock-watchers making unfair comments about me while passing the bill back and forth over their cubicles was enough for me to spend a few minutes blotting out each letter with a paint marker.

Gary was still busy with the coffee. I grabbed the mail and my keys and walked to the front door. Not looking back, I said, "Maybe she had a cat."

3 minute fiction. XD

the nurse left work at 5 o'clock. She began to walk quickly home. She sang along to some Whitney Houston as she walked, she began to feel like someone was following her. She quickened her pace without turning around. at this point in her walk, she was completely oblivious to her ipod, and was walking faster than she intended, after five minutes she realized she was being ridiculous and turned around, but there was nothing there. relieved she changed the song, and sung along to a cobra starship song, that somehow made its way on to her library. maybe its something her daughter downloaded?
"you're a hot mess, but im falling for you!" the nurse sang aloud. as the the song faded to a close. the nurse heard heavy quick steps seeming to come from behind her. She convinced herself it was nothing, and that she should probably lay off the horror movies. she never did like all that girlie hullabaloo. but even as she took a stroll down memory lane, she felt as if there was someone behind her, watching possibly following her, she wasn't quite sure what to do. She concealed a mental freak out, by singing rather quietly. she looked up to mentally calculate how much father she had to walk, when panic erupted from deep inside.
"where the hell am i? how the hell does a grown woman whose lived in the same neighborhood for 10 years get lost 20 minutes from her house?!" the nurse yelled rather loudly as she fished around in her bag for her phone. she decided she'd call a cab shed be a bit later than usual but the kids were fine there was money in the take out jar, and tons of crap on tv to keep them entertained. The nurse continued to fish around and to no avail, decided that today could get no worse. and then she realized, it was getting dark.
in her mind the pieces fit like a puzzle made in csi: ny. some creep had spotted her and made her the star of his own sick fantasy.. stolen her cell phone, and caused her to walk aimlessly through out the city.
Now she was panicking, she had turned around to try to get back to the hospital and hitch a ride, or take a cab. she just needed to be home.
then she heard it, a quick rhythmic thumping behind her, she turned to see a small girl, she was no more than 8, the nurse impulsively walked over to the girl, and asked
"are you ok sweetie?". the girl said nothing she just stared blankly into the distance. the nurse couldnt help but stare at the marvelous beauty of this child, her corn silk blonde hair, her blue almost violet eyes, and then the nurse thought this child had to be angel, something so beautiful had to be a godsend. the nurse then felt a wall of anger smack her right in her core, how could someone abandon this child? how could they tear themselves away from her?how?!
the nurse had been so enveloped in her mental ranting she almost didnt see the girls perfectly white teeth, a straight line except for her, fangs?
"what the hell?" the nurse backed up slowly, pure horror movie style. as the nurse turned to run, the little "angel" was already in front of the nurse, she was trapped.
the smell of blood was thick in the air that night. it was already 7 when the kids began to worry, they went through every possible explanation for why mom was late.
"maybe she went to the store, in new jersey?"
"why the hell would she be in jersey?!"
"i dont know, ok, im just guessing..."
it was around 10 when the kids began to freak out, Jamie had gotten his sister to eat, cookies and ice cream but at least she'd eaten.
he turned on the news, hoping there would be some explanation for his mothers extreme lateness. he wished it would be as simple as, the news caster saying
"hey Jamie, your mom told me to tell you shes going to the moon for take out, don't wait up!" but he was hoping for anything.
the weather had declared tomorrow to be cloudy and cold, he hadnt even begun to process anything hed picked up in the last hour of hope, when he heard panicked screams.
"MOM?!" he ran to the door, to see his mom, with her coat ripped open, and crusted blood on her neck and down her front....

"3 Minute fiction"

The nurse left work at five o'clock. She was the last one to leave so she had to lock the place up.As soon as she was done she decided to go to the pizzeria shop and grab her a slice. Half to the way to the pizzeria place she realized that she forgot her phone on her desk and went back for it. She hesitated on choosing to eat first or get the phone. soon she decided to just get the phone. When she got back to the nurses office she realized that the locks to the main gate were not locked. she assumed that she must have forgotten to lock the gate and proceeded to enter the office without a second though. As she got closer to her room she heard a noise. Paper was being torn apart. The nurse became very nervous and cautiously proceeded to the room. Her heart began to race and sweat slowly dripped down her face as her throat tightened up. Then she got to the door and saw a huge shadow. It was a raccoon. She was relieved and walked in to retrieve her phone and in a quick instant someone came out of the shadows and graded her by her arm. She reacted by punching the man in the face.He than fell to the floor and than she realized. It was her boss.
